We began making pet products over 12 years ago
in our grandma's garage in 2002. We have spent over a decade creating a ton of products that enrich the relationship
between you and your pet.
We first released our original version of "Squeaky Clean" into stores in 2004. It is a product that we, and our clients alike, loved so much we decided to give Squeaky Clean a major makeover and pour all of our love and creativity into a new version that is wholesome, healthy, and more natural... We hope you love it as much as we do!
Sister and brother, Lori Pacchiano and Ryan Pacchiano, founded
High Maintenance Bitch®, a manufacturer of sophisticated dog apparel and accessories, in 2002. With humble beginnings in their grandmothers garage, today they are considered leaders in pet products. The pair began by hand-making products for pets and selling them to local retailers. Their creations began receiving a windfall of national publicity and started showing up on the pets of Hollywood's elite as well as being featured in countless TV shows. The brand was approached by Petco® within its first year to sell HMB Products. With a large fan-base that includes countless celebrities, it is little wonder they have been featured in a plethora of magazines and newspapers, radio talk shows, and have been guests on such TV shows as The View and Tyra. They have hosted Access Hollywood and their products have been featured on Dateline NBC, The Today Show, The Simple Life, and The Osbournes.
While the company has received an unfathomable amount of publicity, including starring in the successful Bravo series 'Showdog Moms and Dads' (which aired in 72 different countries and also aired on Animal Planet in syndication; and was produced by LA-based production company 'World of Wonder' which is known for creating other such shows as Ru Paul's Drag Race; Million Dollar Listing; and The Fabulous Beekman Boys), and having Lori and Ryan's first published book sold in bookstores nationwide, to date the HMB brand has never paid for advertising.
Entertainment Weekly rated HMBs feather boas as one of the Hot 100 products of 2002, and High Maintenance Bitch was nominated for the Seattle Mayor's Business Award in 2003. In 2004 High Maintenance Bitch was chosen by In-Style Magazine and The Hollywood Foreign Press to be included in the Official Golden Globe Gift Baskets (the first time in 60 years that pet products were included.) During 2004 HMB began opening the first chain of high end brand stores in the pet industry, and in 2005, Seattle Magazine named them two of Seattle's "13 most Up and Coming Influential People" as well as "Seattle's Best New Pet Boutique". In 2006, HMB celebrated the worldwide release of its new book The High Maintenance Bitch (owners manual), and calendar. In both 2011 and 2012, the HMB brand was voted 1st Place for "Best Pet Couture" by the viewer's of NBC Seattle KING 5's Evening Magazine.
In 2012 the siblings partnered with private investors to expand the company's manufacturing and distribution channels. In 2013, well known television executive Doron Ofir, known as "The Man Behind Jersey Shore", began creating a new reality series project about the High Maintenance Bitch® brand. Lori and Ryan are represented by New York's prestigious N.S. Bienstock talent group which is consistently rated among the "Top 10 of TV’s Most Powerful" and represents other such clients as Dan Rather, Chris Matthews, Anderson Cooper, Bill O'Reilly and many more.
High Maintenance Bitch® teamed up with Malibu Doll for their Garden Party Fashion Show. Girls and their dogs slipped out of their Seattle rain slickers and onto the grass runway in their bikinis.
